  My dog received 2 vaccine boosters this morning that he did not need until 2019. I discovered this after I got home when I filed the receipt, upon review of previous receipts and vaccine records. I called back and discussed this with the staff who tried to tell me that the vet determines if it is a 1 year vs 3 year vaccine. As RAH had full vaccine records from the previous vet, and the prior vaccines in the series were 3 year vaccines, the vaccines administered in 2016 were also 3 year vaccines so my dog was unnecessarily vaccinated with 2 vaccines he did not need until 2019. In the past I have received outstanding care for my dogs at Ridgetop Animal Hospital, especially from Dr. Cage (who is no longer there) but I am not pleased with the lack of attention to detail in the care received today.

  I can't say enough good things about my experience with Ridgetop. My dog was really sick and my usual vet (Bangor Vet Clinic) couldn't see him, but gave me a list of vets who provide military discounts. They were able to see him on the same day and let me know what the charges would be for all procedures and medications before proceeding with any of them. Paco is feeling better and I am so relieved. Thanks for making a scary experience a little less scary.
